Sara Zamir

Affiliation: Associate Professor and Researcher at Achva Academic College and Ben-Gurion University, Eilat, Israel
Topic: Interpersonal communication in various cultural contexts

Brief Biography:

Prof. Sara Zamir is an associate professor and a researcher at Achva Academic College and Ben-Gurion University at Eilat, Israel.
She served as the Head of the certification studies "Measurement & Evaluation in Education", the Head of the "Educational Management" Department, and the Head of the Instructional Advancement Unit at Achva Academic College. She is currently the President's advisor for gender equity at Achva College.
She obtained her PhD in Educational Policy and Administration from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel.
She teaches courses as well as publishes many articles in the fields of sociology, political socialisation, communication, and educational evaluation.
She edited the book "The Voice of Peace in the Process of Education" in 2008.  Her second book, "Literary school textbooks as peace agents - Changes and diversity of peace education perspectives", was published in 2012 by Ben-Gurion University publishing house. Her third book, "Education and communication", was published in 2014 by Henrietta Szold at the Jerusalem Institute publishing house.
